From Idea to Product

At DBS, industrial design is driven by process.

Every project is handled methodically, ensuring clarity, rigor, and results from start to finish.

1

Discovery & Alignment

We begin by aligning on the fundamentals. This phase is about understanding your vision, market, customer, constraints, and success metrics. Together, we define a clear brief, scope, and roadmap creating the foundation for confident design decisions and a focused development process.

Concept Design

Insight becomes form. We translate research, user needs, and technical realities into multiple distinct design directions. Each concept explores different approaches to form, function, and feasibility, presented through sketches, physical mockups, and early digital models to support clear evaluation and informed decision making.

Product Development

With a direction selected, we refine the design into a resolved product. This phase includes detailed 3D CAD, orthographic and section views, part 3D prints, and realistic renderings with applied CMF. Engineering considerations are integrated to ensure functional performance while preserving design intent.

Prototyping & Validation

Designs move from screen to hand. We produce and assemble physical prototypes in-studio or through trusted partners, allowing for real-world testing, feedback, and iteration. Prototypes are shared with you to validate fit, function, and experience before committing to production.
